On International Women's Day, Gender Equality Platform, "OccupyGuguţă", National Coalition "Life without Family Violence" and GenderDoc-M Center, organized the Solidarity March.

  Manifestants chanted, asking women to have equal pay with men, to be given more leadership positions, and violence not to be tolerated.

With banners and drums, the manifestants started on Stefan cel Mare Boulevard from Ismail Street to the Opera and Ballet Theater.

Coming to the Opera and Ballet Theater, activists chanted more slogans.

The Solidarity March takes place for the fifth consecutive year.  International Women's Day was adopted in 1977 through UN General Assembly resolutions.
